Cardiovascular Disease

Heart disease covers a wide array of conditions, from coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, heart infections, and congenital heart defects.   Symptoms of the various kinds of heart disease include chest pain, shortness of breath, and pain or numbness in the extremities.  Sometimes the severity of these diseases can be disabling, particularly if one works a medium to heavy-duty job.  These conditions can significantly limit the level of exertion one can perform without risk to themselves.   As the CDC reports, about 600,000 Americans die of heart disease each year, and coronary heart disease alone costs the U.S. approximately $108.9 billion dollars per year in medical costs, medications, and lost productivity.  If you are unable to perform the exertional level of your occupation due to heart disease, contact McDermott Law, LLC.
